Schedule a Virtual Moving Estimate

Five College Movers provides Virtual Moving Estimates for local and long distance residential and commercial moves. We conduct Virtual Estimates via FaceTime, Skype, Google Hangouts or Zoom.

Whether you are moving a small apartment across town, or a large home to another state, scheduling a virtual estimate is an important first step. They can be scheduled on demand the same day or for a future day/time.

There is no cost for a virtual moving estimate.

Estimate FAQ's

How long does the Virtual Estimate take?
Around 15 - 30 minutes.

How are they performed?
FaceTime, Skype, Google Hangouts or Zoom.

When are appointments available?
We conduct virtual estimates Monday - Friday 8am - 8pm and Saturdays from 9am - 3pm. Please schedule your estimate using our online system here, or by calling us at 413-687-1738.

How long before my move should I schedule an in-home estimate?
Its always better to plan ahead, but we typically recommend scheduling an estimate 2-4 weeks before your moving date. Its always ok to plan months in advance, even if you don't have a specific date in mind for the move. Also, if you're in a time crunch of just a few days, we will do our best to fit you in!

What occurs during the Virtual Estimate?
Five College Movers will gather information about your move and answer any questions you may have about the moving process. From there, Five College Movers will formulate a moving plan and cost estimate based on the specifics of your move. A moving estimate will be emailed within a few hours of the appointment, along with our License/Insurance information and some general Moving Tips.

How are estimates and moving charges calculated?
Local Moves (within 150 miles of WMass) are conducted on an hourly basis, based on the number of movers, trucks, etc. used to complete the move. Charges for moves over 150 miles in distance are based on either the weight of the load or a flat rate, plus any additional requested services.
