I can't tell you how pleased my wife and I were with yesterday’s team of Jakob, Juan and Ethan. They arrived early, and were uniformly well organized, efficient, genial and considerate throughout the day. When faced with a couple of unexpected and last moment changes, Jacob calmly said no problem and offered creative solutions. They took great care with all of our belongings, some of which are quite heavy and unwieldy. On arrival at our freshly painted house they carefully maneuvered the furniture throughout the house with unhurried and deliberate precision, without a scuff or a scratch. Very impressive. And they took on the long walk to the basement, across the front lawn and down around the uneven stone path, which I know was a drag, with the same good humor that they had shown from the moment they arrived. I had been anxious about this move, and concerned about the challenges of the tight quarters inside the new house and the uneven terrain outside, but half an hour into our morning, when it was clear we were in good hands, I turned to my wife and said, I am very happy today. The way in which I needed a moving service came about with hardly any notice. Five College Movers was able to have a virtual consultation with me the following day, and set up the move less than one week from the consult. The movers arrived on time and got right to work. We also had a couple updates between quote and actual move and the business was flexible and knowledgeable about what solutions were available. The movers were even able to dismantle a couple of furniture pieces that required this, and they also reassembled them as well! I am absolutely appreciative of this company! I was in a pinch and after being sick for over a week couldn’t get the move done myself like planned and a moving company backing out leaving only a 3 days notice, five college booked me and fit me in on New Year’s Day! They were very pleasant to work with over the phone and in person. Phil walked me through everything over the phone was very understanding of what I needed to have done and make happen and he put it all together for me. On the day of moving I had a team of two guys (Donovan and Justin) they called me when they were leaving the office, arrived right on time, walked through the home with me to get a run down of everything that I needed done, packed, and moved. They hustled the whole time didn’t even take a break! They packed what I couldn’t when I was sick and moved everything for move. I didn’t have to lift a finger. They were very professional and respectful and had the greatest of personalities. This company is an hourly rate basis and the guys definitely didn’t “stall” to drag out the time, they hustled the whole day! Everything got moved in one piece, nothing was broken, and they took care to make sure valuables and breakables were well protected during the process. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and everyone. When we move again into our forever home, we will be hiring them again to move our stuff from storage to the new home.
